Σκοπός

The program will discuss both therapist-related factors including competence and competencies as well as patient-related factors, such as engagement in therapy and external logistical problems with attendance that are related to drop-out. This program will discuss practical ways to address them and improve clinical outcomes. The presenters will examine cognitive and behavioral elements of manualized cognitive therapy and discuss findings relating to cognitive–behavioral therapy (CBT) in particular.

Cognitive therapy is a promising treatment for Major Depressive Disorder (MDD). However, high drop-out rates and, conversely, the specific elements that make the intervention effective continue to puzzle practicing clinicians.
