About the School of Law
In 2015 we celebrate 50 years of law at Queen Mary University of London. Established in 1965, the School of Law has grown from 30 students and four academic staff, to 1,939 students and 115 academic staff in 2014-15. The School of Law at QMUL is one of the UK’s leading law schools, with the largest LLM programme in the country. We have students from over 90 jurisdictions and have trained over 10,000 legal professionals.
Our Postgraduate Law Centre and Centre for Commercial Law Studies are based in the heart of legal London, at Lincoln’s Inn Fields, an excellent location and the legal capital in England. We pride ourselves with close links to London law firms often organising events together.
The Centre has also recently developed specialisms in insurance, energy and shipping law. We have recently launched the new Dual LLM in Commercial Law (Singapore and London)which further enhances the international profile of CCLS, following the launch of LLM in International Shipping Law Piraeus and the LLM Paris programmes.
